Staff at Movie House Cinema Coleraine achieve "A4E Customer Service" Qualifications.
Roisin Donnelly, Marie Marshall, Irene Dorrans, Sinead Convery and Sean Davis, staff members at the Movie House Cinemas in Coleraine and Maghera have successfully achieved NVQ L2 Customer Service qualifications and Edexcel BTEC L2 Certificate in customer service. This free training delivered by A4E through the Apprenticeship NI programme.
Action 4 Employment (A4E) which has offices in Limavady, Newry and Belfast provides employers with opportunities to 'up skill' their staff and provides essential skills qualifications where required.
The benefits to the employers are evident - the training is fully funded by the Department of Education (DEL) and the programme can be tailored to meet individual business needs.
Training has already taken place in various workplaces throughout Northern Ireland and employers are delighted with the results which includes improved staff morale, increased motivation and productivity in the workplace:
"The L2 NVQ in Customer Service has integrated very well into the Movie House's newly developed staff training programme, which focuses on customer service excellence. The certificate is proving to be a valuable addition, not only to participating employees but also to the business as a whole. It has motivated staff and given them a sense of self-believe; they have gained a better understanding of how they play an integral part in growing our business," said Barbara Campbell, Movie House Business Development Manager.
