Movie House & The Jet Centre Support Air Ambulance NI This Christmas
Movie House Cinemas and The Jet Centre are proud to announce that our teams will be fundraising throughout December in support of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, a vital service that helps save lives every day across our communities.
From 12–24 December, staff across all our sites will be taking part in a Christmas Jumper Fundraiser, donning their most festive knits to raise donations. This is just one of a number of activities planned this month as we work together to generate much-needed funds for the charity.
Air Ambulance NI provides an essential Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for Northern Ireland in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. On average, the air ambulance is needed twice every day to reach critically ill or injured patients. During December—while many of us are enjoying Christmas with family and friends—the service is expected to be called out over 60 times.
Each day it costs £8,200 to fund the service, and when the helicopter is dispatched, the medical team can reach patients at speeds of up to 180 mph. With a highly trained doctor and paramedic on board, the crew delivers advanced emergency care directly at the scene, performing life-saving interventions when every second counts.
We are delighted to support this incredible charity and invite our customers to get involved by donating in cinemas and in the Jet Centre or taking part in the festive fun. Every contribution—big or small—helps Air Ambulance NI continue its lifesaving work.
More details on our fundraising activities will be shared throughout the month. Thank you for your generosity and support.
